Post-Event Report | A Dialogue on Naga Affairs: Counterpoint Negotiation

The second edition of the ICNA Dialogue included an in-depth discussion as well as a way forward/solutions that could be implemented. The discussion centred on Naga Affairs: Counterpoint Negotiation [Can Trilateral Talks Between India, the Nagas, and Myanmar Resolve the Naga Political Issue?]. The speakers provided a cross-sectional review and situational observation. The dialogue includes a traditional mix of addresses, presentations, and panel discussions, as well as focused and structured audience interactions.

During the web dialogue, speakers and participants had the opportunity to discuss topics and develop perspectives through a structured process of information exchange and interaction. An open conclusion was given from various perspectives, particularly on the trilateral talks approach between the three entities, as it will be primarily an academic exercise or a test of our minds or ideas, to begin with; however, trilateral talks between the Nagas, India, and Myanmar will be required at some point to bring peace among the Nagas and to ensure long-term regional peace.
