A Dialogue on Naga Affairs: Counterpoint Negotiation

Overview
The second edition of the ICNA Dialogue will feature an in-depth discussion of Counterpoint Negotiation: Can Trilateral Talks Between India, the Nagas, and Myanmar Resolve the Naga Political Issue? The dialogue’s goal is to discuss the possibilities option while also exploring the difficulties approach of the trilateral talks by comparing cross-sectional progress and policies in order to drive toward better Naga Affairs policy formulation.

Speakers
Prof. Visier Sanyü: He was the Inaugural Head of the Department of History and Archaeology in Nagaland University. He migrated to Australia in 1996 where he taught in two Universities and also worked with the National Council of Churches in Australia, and World Vision. He returned to Nagaland in 2016 and launched his own Healing Garden. He is also the President of the Overseas Naga Association and the author of the book, A Naga Odyssey.

Rev. Dr Sein Maung: He was the former General Secretary of NBC (Myanmar Naga Baptist Convention), and the Convenor of Naga Public Organization(NPO).

Mani Charenamei: He was a former Member of Parliament (MP) to the Lower House in India’s Parliament. During the 14th Lok Sabha (Lower House), he has held the following positions as Member (Standing Committee on Rural Development, Consultative Committee, Environment & Forest, Standing Committee, communication & Information Technology, Railway Users Consultative Committee NEF Railway), and as Senate Member of Manipur University.

Dialogue Format
The ICNA Dialogue includes a traditional mix of addresses, presentations, panel discussions, and focused and structured audience interactions to extract the most information from the dialogue presentation/panels.
