How two QUAD Partners Chastised India on Russian FM’s visit!

On Friday, April 1, 2022, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with India’s External Affairs Minister Jaishankar in New Delhi and called on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Russian foreign minister’s visit comes just hours after Jaishankar met with his visiting British counterpart Liz Truss, during which the two leaders spoke extensively about Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, just hours before Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in India, two QUAD partners, the United States and Australia, called on India to be “on the right side of history.” Furthermore, the United States and Australia have chastised India for hosting Russia during its conflict with Ukraine.

On March 30, 2022, Lavrov met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in China, and both sides agreed to strengthen bilateral ties. The Russian foreign minister also attended two multinational meetings in Afghanistan with representatives from Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.’
