THE STATE OF NAGA AFFAIRS 2022: How the Naga people marked the 76th year of Naga independence (75th anniversary) of the Naga Declaration of Independence

The State of Naga Affairs – Special ICNA Edition – August 2022 includes some reflections, visual images, and perceptions on how the Naga people, Naga civil organizations, and various Naga governments marked the 76th Naga Independence Day (75th anniversary) of Naga Declaration of Independence from British rule.

The goal of this special ICNA edition is to provide a snapshot of the current prevailing attitudes among Naga people regarding the declaration of Naga Independence. The special ICNA edition is not meant to be a definitive assessment of Naga affairs. Instead, it is intended to highlight how the Naga people viewed the declaration of Naga Independence so that policymakers, academics, researchers, businesspeople, media personnel, civil society activists, and students can gain a clear perspective on a variety of issues affecting Naga affairs, particularly the status of how the Naga people celebrated/commemorated the Naga Independence Day event.
